This lecture was presented at the 56th International Congress of Americans, held at Salamanca University in 2018. In it, based on the analysis of geopolitics definitions elaborated by the most prominent scholars of the discipline, the author proposes a definition of Geopolitics that, although it is intended for pre-Hispanic Mexico, is useful as an analysis tool for the ancient world in general.
